Life and business aren't fair, which is good. If they were, you couldn't seize the unfair advantage. Think about it. Is your CEO the smartestperson in the company? Is the head of yourdepartment more driven than you? Does theleading company in your industry make thebest products? Probably not. They all have onething in common, though: They're on top ofthe pile because they discovered and exploitedtheir unfair advantage and with the helpof business expert and motivational dynamoGarrison Wynn, you can do the same. The Real Truth about Success is the culminationof ten years worth of interviews with morethan 5,000 top performers in their fields.During the process, Wynn discovered thatbetter brains, a positive attitude, and superiorall-around quality rarely drive true success.Rather, the most successful people inthe world leverage their unique, distinctivequalities whatever they may be to propelthemselves to the front of the line. The RealTruth about Success, Wynn helps youn Discover (or create) your ownpersonal advantage Align it with the most appropriate goals Transition from self-knowledge to repeatableimplementation Relentlessly put your advantage to practical use Bask in the sunshine of well-deserved success All of us have a personal advantage we canuse to stack the cards in our own favor. What's yours? High intelligence? Good looks?Likability? Great connections? (Your unfairadvantage may well be a talent for leveragingother peoples unfair advantage.) Refreshingly (sometimes brutally) honestabout what it takes to get to the top, The RealTruth about Success blows the lid off the secret of their success so you can make it the secret of your success.

The real truth about The Real Truth About Success
Excellent material for anyone wanting to know how the top 2% perform. This is a no Bu**sh** book, identifying what the top performers do and how they go about it. What makes this book different is that it's not a how-to book, but more of a "Here's what they do" book. You can choose to learn or dismiss the material (the latter being a bad choice). Why doesn't everyone do what Garrison counsels? I don't know the answer to that except to say that they don't. Which is why the 2% that do, are the top performers.
The book is a delightful read with a lot of good material. Beware, though, you will want a yellow high lighter.

Just didn't click with me!
I read about 50 business and self-help books each year in the past 18 years, in comparison I found both the premise and organization of this title unsound, if not problematic. It's written in a very casual style based on a "serious" study, but none of the research findings or insights came cross to me as being clearly elaborated or thoroughly researched, so they don't sound credible or practical to me personally.
This book is about attaining personal and professional success in corporate America, but I have read at least a dozen titles in the same category with much better premises, insights, style, and practical advices, for example, "Good to Great", "Talent is Overrated", "Success is not an Accident", and "Rich Dad Poor Dad" series.
I don't mean to "bad mouth" this book vs. the prior 19 unanimous five-star reviews, and I just want to provide my honest, personal opinion about my reading experience.
